Job Description
San Bernardino County is recruiting for a Senior Supervising Accountant/ Auditors who supervises difficult professional accounting work or supervises and participates in financial, operational, and compliance audits; reviews and performs extensive and complex accounting work involving the complete fiscal activities of a department; recommends audit priorities and schedules; confers with management on sensitive problems; analyzes and proposes procedures to increase efficiency . The resulting eligible list may also be used to fill future vacancies throughout the County as they occur.

Travel:
A valid California Class C Driver License is required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.Background:

EDUCATION Must possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics OR a bachelor's degree in another field which must include 30 semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework in accounting . (Transcripts with qualifying coursework is required if degree is in another field.)EXPERIENCE
Must possess three (3) years of full-time equivalent professional-level auditing and/or accounting experience AND one (1) year of full-scope supervisory experience OR two (2) years of lead experience.IMPORTANT NOTES
EXPERIENCE Professional-level experience is defined as occupations that require specialized knowledge usually acquired through principal work experience. Clerical/bookkeeping experience is not considered qualifying.EDUCATION
Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. (Must be attached if applicable.) For education evaluation services, refer to Naces . The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, extensive governmental accounting/auditing experience and possess one of the following designations: California Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner or Certified Information Systems Auditor.Examination Procedure :
