Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant for a full-time, on-site role at our Shelbyville, TN office. This positions plays a critical role in managing the organization's financial operations, including overseeing monthly closings, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of account reconciliations. This position reports to the Controller and contributes to regulatory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while supporting business objectives. The Senior Accountant also collaborates on process improvement, internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards, working as a key partner with the accounting team. Qualifications Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and budgeting Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards and principles, including GAAP Proven ability to perform account reconciliation and manage audit processes Experience with internal and/or external financial audits with exposure to financial statement preparation. Assists with managing the organization's financial operations Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, liquidity management, and month-end close processes. Leadership experience with the ability to guide teams and drive process improvements Assist with regulatory reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis Analytical skills in financial forecasting and reporting Excellent organizational and time-management skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance experience, preferably in a similar role, such as Staff Accounting, Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller. Banking industry experience a plus, with knowledge of CECL, interest rate risk, and balance sheet management.Similar jobs in San Diego, CA
