Job Description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for our client in the biotech industry in San Diego, California. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong general ledger experience, month-end close expertise, and the ability to support financial reporting in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally to support accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesLead month-end and year-end close activitiesMaintain and analyze general ledger accountsPrepare financial statements and internal management reportsPerform variance analysis and assist with budgeting and forecasting supportReconcile balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, and intercompany transactionsManage accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed asset accountingSupport audit preparation and provide documentation for internal and external auditsHelp ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policiesPartner with finance and operational teams to improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy
