Sr. Accountant

Description Robert Half is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a company in San Diego, CA. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong general ledger experience, a solid understanding of month-end close, and the ability to support financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules + Lead month-end and year-end close activities + Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts + Prepare financial statements and management reports + Perform variance analysis and support budgeting and forecasting efforts + Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions + Assist with fixed asset accounting, accruals, and prepaid expenses + Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation + Help ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy Requirements + 3+ years of accounting experience, with progressive responsibility + Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred + Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting + Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems + Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills + Strong attention to detail and communication abilities

Preferred Skills:
