Job Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a company in San Diego, CA. This role is well suited for an accounting professional with experience supporting general accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and assisting with the month-end close. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entriesMaintain and reconcile general ledger accountsAssist with month-end and year-end close activitiesPerform bank, credit card, and account reconciliationsSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable processesPrepare financial statements and internal reporting packagesAnalyze variances and help resolve accounting discrepanciesAssist with fixed asset accounting and prepaid expense schedulesSupport audits by gathering documentation and preparing schedules
