(HIRELCO) is an industry leader whose expertise is in designing and manufacturing custom and MIL-Spec interconnect products for a variety of industries including Aerospace and Defense. We are seeking a Jr Cost Accountant to collect, analyze, and report on cost accounting data. This includes monitoring inventory levels, performing cost comparisons, product costing analyses, tracking variances, and making journal entries. Responsibilities Performs both transactional and analytical tasks for accurate costing of work orders related to production, other services, R D and special projects. Perform monthly reconciliation of inventory and monitor the accumulation of indirect/direct labor on daily basis, as well as other analyses relating to manufacturing expenses as assigned and book adjusting entries. Assist in quarterly WIP review and quarterly inventory sample counts. Generates monthly non-conformance costing summary and analysis. Prepare monthly margin analysis and other KPIs assigned. Reviews costing trends and investigates anomalies to ensure accuracy of financials specific to inventory and cost of production. Establish and maintain a cross functional relationship with areas such as production, planning, and quality. Participates in various inventory reporting activities - physical counts, production observations, cost & efficiency studies as required. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree, business preferred with some accounting. Accounting degree with an interest in cost accounting is a big plus. MS Office (specifically Excel) ERP experience is ideal. Ability to focus and prioritize duties. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and specifications. Proficient in using MRP/ERP software and tools, proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications - Experience with MRP/ERP Software Implementation would be ideal. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project RFQs simultaneously. Ability to work well independently as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
