Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and oversee all general ledger activity, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements and grant reports for internal and external stakeholders Ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards (FASB, 2 CFR 200, etc.) Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll allocations, and expense reimbursements Monitor grant expenditures and assist in preparing reports for funders Assist in annual audit and 990 preparation by providing requested documentation and working directly with external auditors Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process and monitor budget-to-actual performance Reconcile bank and investment accounts monthly Maintain proper documentation and ensure adherence to internal controls Provide financial insights and support to program managers and leadership Supervise or mentor junior accounting staff as applicable
Qualifications:
GL Account Reconciliations experience is required Strong knowledge of fund accounting, restricted/unrestricted funds, and grant management Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Blackbaud) and Excel Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment "TSHL01 "

$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
