Accountant

Part-Time (Approx. 20-25 hours/week)

Executive Director About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable L ead Accountant to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of our nonprofit organization. This is a part-time, hybrid role ideal for someone who enjoys mission-driven work and can manage accounting functions with accuracy, integrity, and independence. What You'll Do Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and receivable Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and internal controls Assist with audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors Track and report on grant and restricted funds in collaboration with program staff Oversee payroll processing and related filings (if applicable) Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation What We're Looking For 3-5+ years of accounting experience (nonprofit experience preferred) Strong understanding of nonprofit and/or fund accounting principles Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Excel High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment Nice to Have Experience with grants and restricted fund tracking Payroll processing and compliance experience Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial team members Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) Paid vacation and sick time Flexible, part-time schedule Opportunity to support a meaningful, mission-driven organization Equal Opportunity Employer We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and applicants and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected status.
