Job Description
Job Description Staff Accountant Our client, a well-established publicly traded real estate investment company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with 2+ years of corporate accounting experience who is looking to advance their career with an organization known for its strong culture, outstanding leadership, and comprehensive benefits package. Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Analyze income statement and balance sheet fluctuations
- Manage corporate cash activity, bank reconciliations, and cashbook maintenance
- Support debt accounting, wire transfers, and interest payment reconciliations
- Assist with payroll-related activities and audit support
- Prepare accounting entries related to real estate acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, and debt transactions
- Collaborate with Corporate Accounting, Property Accounting, and Management teams Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
