• $30•35/hour We are seeking a Temporary Staff Accountant to provide essential part time accounting and payroll support to cover a leave of absence.

You will enjoy a flexible schedule while ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely payroll processing for this mission-driven nonprofit organization. Candidates with Sage Intacct experience encouraged to apply!

Location:

On-site in San Rafael

Schedule:

~20 hours/week; flexible (3 full days or 4-5 shorter days)

Staff Accountant Duties:

Maintain and update accounting records and files. Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts. Prepare journal entries and monitor monthly accrual-based entries. Assist with month-end close activities and budget vs. actual monitoring. Assist CFO with all payroll tasks. Record payroll activity in the general ledger. Ensure timely payroll processing and respond to staff inquiries.

Staff Accountant Qualifications:

Experience with ADP Workforce and Sage Intacct highly preferred 3+ years of experience in accounting and payroll. Strong Excel skills Ability to work on-site Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus. High attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to meet deadlines.
