Full-Time, Hybrid Position Overview The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, supporting month-end close, and preparing financial reports. This role involves moderate to high-complexity accounting work and requires strong accuracy, analytical ability, and proactive communication. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are needed to support communication with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities + Perform full-cycle accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities. + Prepare and review complex journal entries. + Complete bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations. + Partner with bilingual internal teams to clarify accounting matters and financial information. + Support high-volume accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor payments and invoicing. + Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and assist with tax-related filings and regulatory requirements. + Conduct variance analysis, prepare financial statements, and provide reporting insights to leadership. + Coordinate audit support activities and help maintain internal controls. + Mentor junior accounting staff and/or review their work as needed. Qualifications + Full fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a senior-level or lead capacity. + Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including functions such as VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables. + Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as, Oracle, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms. + Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. + CPA or similar certification preferred. + Experience using AI tools or APIs to improve processes is a plus. Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for month-end close and general ledger activities.
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Hands-on experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Advanced Excel skills, including functions such as VLOOKUPs and PivotTables.
- Working knowledge of accounting systems such as Oracle, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP platforms.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial compliance practices; additional accounting certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, maintain accuracy in detailed work, and identify opportunities to improve processes.
