$40-$65/hour DOE Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our client's growing finance team in Santa Cruz, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong full-cycle accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, and hands-on experience with NetSuite (required). This role will play a key part in month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities + Manage full-cycle accounting activities including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations + Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements + Lead month-end and year-end close processes + Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts + Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP + Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis + Support internal and external audit requests + Identify and implement accounting process improvements and efficiencies + Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, AP/AR, and leadership teams + Maintain accurate documentation and financial records within NetSuite Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred + 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required + Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles + NetSuite experience required + Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred + Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical abilities + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment + Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience + Experience supporting audits and financial compliance + Background in manufacturing, technology, nonprofit, or multi-entity environments is a plus + CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred + 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required + Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles + NetSuite experience required + Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
