Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant for a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Santa Rosa, CA within the banking and consumer lending industry. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys detailed financial analysis, regulatory reporting, loan accounting support, and working closely with senior accounting leadership. The Senior Financial Accountant will support the Assistant Controller and Controller in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing monthly reporting, monitoring general ledger activity, and supporting bank accounting operations. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver monthly ALCO and Board reports, including support for monthly board loan reporting to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Complete regulatory and financial reporting activities, including preparation and submission of the weekly FR 2900 and support for other required reports.
- Monitor loan suspense accounts, review general ledger activity, research variances, and coordinate timely corrections or clearing of outstanding items.
- Support guaranteed loan purchase and investment portfolio accounting, including monthly interest accruals, market price adjustments, and tracking interest receivables and receipts.
- Assist with annual Sales and Use Tax, property tax returns, insurance renewals, FDICIA control testing, lease schedules, and monthly account reconciliation certifications.
- Manage corporate credit card statement processing, provide backup support for reconciliations and accounts payable, and respond to employee and vendor accounting questions. Compensation and Benefits
