Job Description
A well-established commercial real estate investment and property management company is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support financial reporting and accounting operations for a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. This position offers exposure to property accounting, lease administration, investor reporting, and asset management while working alongside experienced accounting leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant looking to expand their commercial real estate expertise and contribute to a growing organization with a strong presence throughout Southern California.
ResponsibilitiesGeneral Accounting & Financial ReportingPrepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliationsAssist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activitiesMaintain general ledger accuracy for multiple entities and propertiesPrepare financial statements and supporting schedulesAnalyze account activity and investigate variancesProperty & Real Estate AccountingReconcile CAM, tenant recoveries, and operating expensesAssist with lease accounting and tenant billing activitiesSupport budgeting and forecasting processesCoordinate with property managers regarding financial reportingPrepare schedules for audits and tax filings
