This role plays a vital part in ensuring the integrity of financial data, supporting compliance with accounting standards, and facilitating smooth financial operations across multiple departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles, including both corporate and non-profit contexts. Duties Enter and reconcile journal entries within QuickBooks and other accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and Quicken to ensure accurate financial data. Perform balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to maintain the integrity of financial statements. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections. Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to verify account accuracy and identify discrepancies. Prepare detailed financial reports, including financial statement writing and account analysis, supporting internal decision-making. Assist with payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and GAAP standards. Support governmental accounting requirements by maintaining precise records for audits and regulatory reporting. Handle account reconciliation tasks such as debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis. Maintain accurate records of journal entries, bank transactions, and budget tracking activities. Contribute to budgeting processes by providing relevant financial data and analysis. Support tax-related activities by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. Skills Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential; experience with Xero, Sage, Quicken, or other accounting software is highly desirable. Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, GAAP standards, and governmental accounting practices. Experience with double entry bookkeeping, general ledger management, and account reconciliation processes. Knowledge of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and account analysis. Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks. Familiarity with payroll processing systems and tax compliance requirements. Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in bookkeeping and financial report writing. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments and support audit processes.
