Working Hours:
Monday•Friday, 9:00 AM•5:30 PM Position Overview In this role, you will support accounting, human resources, general affairs, and corporate administration functions. The accounting responsibilities are focused primarily on reviewing and extracting data from the company's ERP and sales management systems, preparing financial reports, and supporting monthly and annual reporting processes. This role does not primarily involve cash handling or basic data entry. The HR responsibilities are broad and general in nature, including recruitment coordination, payroll-related administration, attendance management, employee record management, and coordination with external HR consultants regarding employee handbook updates and labor compliance matters. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling a wide variety of responsibilities in a Japanese business environment. This role is best suited for someone who has broad administrative experience across accounting, HR, and general affairs rather than highly specialized expertise in only one area. Responsibilities Handle general accounting-related administrative tasks, including accounts receivable management and use of ERP and sales management systems Extract, review, and organize accounting data from internal systems to support financial reporting Prepare and support monthly and annual financial reports, including P&L and balance sheet reports Support monthly and annual closing processes in coordination with management and external accounting professionals Coordinate recruitment-related activities, including communication with recruiting agencies, candidates, and internal stakeholders Support HR administration, including payroll-related matters, employee records, benefits administration, and employment documentation Manage attendance records and support labor compliance-related documentation Coordinate with external HR consultants regarding employee handbook updates, labor law updates, and other HR-related matters Prepare, organize, maintain, and store important corporate documents and records Support matters related to contracts, corporate filings, registrations, and legal documentation Coordinate with external professionals, including attorneys, accountants, HR consultants, insurance brokers, and other service providers as needed Manage and support general affairs functions, including company assets, office facilities, supplies, equipment, and vendor coordination Support day-to-day office operations and provide administrative assistance to management Perform other duties related to accounting, HR, general affairs, and corporate administration as assigned Qualifications 3+ years of experience in accounting administration, HR administration, general affairs, corporate administration, or related functions Experience using ERP systems, sales management systems, or accounting-related systems preferred Experience preparing or supporting financial reports such as P&L and balance sheet reports preferred Basic understanding of accounting processes, monthly closing, and annual closing procedures Experience with HR administration, payroll coordination, benefits administration, attendance management, or recruitment coordination preferred Business-level English proficiency required Japanese language skills, both verbal and written, required Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Strong Excel skills and ability to organize and analyze data accurately Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through Strong communication and coordination skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Comfortable working in a Japanese business environment Experience working for a Japanese company is a plus Ideal Candidate Profile Has broad, hands-on experience across accounting, HR, and general affairs Can work independently while coordinating with management and external professionals Is comfortable handling a wide range of responsibilities rather than focusing on one specialized area Has strong attention to detail and can prepare accurate reports and documentation Understands the importance of confidentiality, compliance, and internal controls Is flexible, proactive, and able to support a small to mid-sized office environment Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance; family coverage available 401(k) plan with company matching Wellness/fitness reimbursement program Gas allowance based on commuting distance Paid Leave Paid vacation: starting at 75 hours/year; increases with tenure Sick leave: 45 hours/year Additional Information Probation period: 90 days Remote work: Not available Flexible or staggered working hours may be considered after the probation period
