Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of accounting experience and be comfortable working with QuickBooks Online, Google Drive, and Microsoft Excel. This position will assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll Process Assistance, reconciliations, and general accounting functions while maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (A/P) Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursement requests Verify supporting documents and coding of expenses Prepare and maintain vendor records Assist with payment processing and vendor communications Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Accounts Receivable (A/R) Prepare and issue customer invoices Monitor customer payments and outstanding balances Follow up on past-due accounts Apply customer payments and maintain accurate receivable records Assist with customer account reconciliations Payroll Process Assistance Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing and related administrative tasks Review employee timecards and attendance records for completeness and accuracy Verify PTO, sick leave, and payroll-related adjustments before payroll processing Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation in an organized manner Coordinate with HR regarding new hires, terminations, employee status changes, and payroll updates Assist with payroll reconciliations and payroll reporting Support the timely collection and verification of payroll information Assist Accounting and HR teams in ensuring payroll compliance with company policies and procedures Support year-end payroll activities, including employee tax forms and payroll documentation General Accounting Prepare journal entries and maintain accounting records Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities Perform account reconciliations Maintain organized electronic files and supporting documentation Support audits and financial reporting processes Assist with special accounting projects as assigned
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll experience Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements Strong organizational and time management skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Technical Skills:
Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Comfortable using Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Workspace Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, sorting, filtering, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables Experience with payroll systems (Rippling, ADP, Paychex, Gusto, or similar) is a plus Experience with ERP systems is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Korean language skills preferred (spoken and written) Experience working in a multi-department business environment Experience with payroll processing, employee benefits administration, or HR-related support is a plus Experience with inventory accounting is a plus
