Job Description

Position ​​​​ Junior Accountant Summary An established logistics company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Staff member to support the Finance & Accounting Manager and Operations team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily accounting activities, supporting monthly and annual closings, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate with both internal teams and external partners. ​Essential Duties Accounts Payable (AP)
Invoice & Payment Processing:
Handle end‑to‑end processing of invoices and payment requests. Ensure accuracy, timely data entry, and on‑time disbursements via check, ACH, and wire.
Data Integrity & Reconciliation:
Transfer and reconcile financial data between operational and accounting systems, ensuring immediate and accurate recording of all disbursements.
Vendor & Documentation Management:
Maintain organized, audit‑ready documentation and manage vendor records. Resolve discrepancies through clear communication with vendors and internal teams.
Audit Support:
Provide support for periodic audits, general ledger reconciliations, and continuous process improvements. Accounts Receivable (AR)
Receivables & Cash Posting:
Oversee accurate, timely receivables processing, including managing documentation and same‑day cash receipt posting.
Account Monitoring & Collections:
Monitor customer accounts, manage credit limits, process customer applications, and conduct diligent collections follow-up.
Reporting:
Prepare and distribute critical financial reports, including aging reports, Statements of Account (SOA), and sales journals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with internal teams to resolve outstanding balances and support audits and reconciliations as assigned. Education:
4-year college degree in Finance or Accounting.
Experience:
1 to 2 years of professional accounting experience.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in ERP accounting systems. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
Pay:
$54,080.00 - $58,240.00 per year
