GAAP Accounting Bachelor of Arts Full Job Description Summary:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for all aspects of general ledger-related activities, such as proper application of US GAAP in handling and recording of accounting transactions, spearheads monthly close, periodic balance sheet account reconciliation and expense accruals. The position also supports in preparation of the company's financial statements and making sure financial reporting deadlines are met. The Staff Accountant directs financial activities of Weckerle USA organization by performing and/or delegating the following duties.
EssentialDutiesandResponsibilities:
Oversees accounts payable ensuring transactions are properly recorded and accounted for including year-end 1099 reporting Oversees accounts receivable and interfaces with customers for timely collection of receivable matter Responsible for the general ledger and bank reconciliations Prepares reports summarizing and forecasting company business activities and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations Interfaces with key personnel for the compilation of monthly financial forecasts and supports in the budget preparation, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification Provides management with timely reviewed financial reports and progress in its various programs and activities Directs and reviews the work of accounting personnel Reviews transactions, posting Year End adjustments Reconciles report discrepancies and problems Other duties as assigned by Director of Finance Report Payroll, Vacation, sick accrual and expense, Health Allocation Inventory closing and reporting ∙Capitalize fixed asset and deprecation report Update Liquidity file and Cash flow All other related internal financial closing report Cetec system account reconciliation - mostly Bank Reconciliation related Report Sales and used Tax & Income Tax all tax related Cash forecasting report per week and Daily bank activities report Payroll report entry

Qualifications/Requirements:
EDUCATION
∙ Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university
EXPERIENCE
∙ Minimum of 5+ experience
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Knowledge:
∙ Understanding of
US GAAP. CETEC
Program user prefer Advanced level of Excel. Standard, clerical office practices and procedures especially as they relate to the function of this position.
Skills:
∙ Strong written and verbal communication skills needed to effectively communicate with Management, customers, vendors and colleagues
Abilities:
∙ Speak and write effectively; prepare documents that are concise, (priority, high area of interest), and grammatically accurate; correctly apply policies, procedures, and regulations. Work effectively in a diverse community; maintain confidences, and confidentiality. Attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, is critical for the success of this position.
