This role will primarily focus on preparing individual and business tax returns while also assisting with basic bookkeeping and client accounting services. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, client-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced tax environment during peak seasons. Duties Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, and entities Organize and review client tax documents and financial records Perform basic bookkeeping and monthly accounting services Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Assist with payroll, sales tax, and other compliance filings as needed Communicate with clients regarding missing information and tax questions Maintain accurate workpapers and client files Support tax planning and year-end projects Work collaboratively with firm owner and staff to meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications Experience with S corporations, partnerships, and Schedule C businesses Experience with trust and estate income tax preparation Understanding of payroll and sales tax filings Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Enrolled Agent licensing also valuable Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Paid holidays and paid time off Opportunities for growth and professional development Supportive and collaborative work environment Schedule Full-time - possibility of flexible hours Additional hours may be required during tax season
