Accountant

A well-established and growing construction company is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and partnering closely with operations and project management teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting knowledge, construction industry experience a plus, with the ability to manage multiple financial functions with accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for approximately 20 employees Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, and vendor payments Handle accounts receivable functions including invoicing, payment tracking, and collections Maintain accurate job cost coding and project cost tracking Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Manage cash receipts, deposits, and financial documentation Assist with financial reporting and analysis to support business operations Support month-end and year-end close processes Collaborate with project managers to ensure project financials are accurate and up to date Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting procedures Utilize ERP and construction management software for daily accounting operations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within construction or a project-based environment Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and financial reporting Experience with payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems; Sage experience highly preferred Familiarity with construction project management platforms such as Procore is a plus Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, reporting, and data analysis Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunity to join a stable and growing organization Collaborative and team-oriented work environment Apply today!
