Accountant

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Accountant for a direct hire opportunity with a growing construction company in Ventura, CA. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys owning a broad mix of accounting responsibilities, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, reconciliations, and financial analysis. The Accountant will work closely with leadership and project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely project cost tracking. • Process weekly payroll for approximately 20 employees using Sage 100C.
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, coding, vendor payments, invoicing, and collections.
• Perform job cost coding to accurately track and allocate project-related costs.
• Record journal entries, maintain general ledger activity, and assist with month-end, semi-annual, and year-end close processes.
• Complete bank reconciliations, manage cash deposits, and maintain accurate financial documentation and controls.
• Conduct financial analysis and collaborate with project managers using Procore to align accounting data with project progress. Compensation and Benefits

• Pay:

  $35 to $40 per hour.

• Schedule:

  7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch.
