Full Job Description Role Summary:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing general ledger accounting, reporting, and financial analysis. Will support the accurate and timely completion of the company's accounting close, reporting, and reconciliation processes. Will have strong technical accounting skills, the ability to work independently with large datasets, and the desire to problem-solve and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and record daily cash entries and complete bank reconciliations for all company accounts, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Serve as the primary administrator for the company credit card program, overseeing card issuance, expense reporting, and monthly reconciliation. Prepare monthly revenue and receivables journal entries, reconciliations, and bad debt reserve analysis. Prepare monthly revenue analytics, including comparisons of budget versus actual census, reimbursement rates, payor mix, and program composition Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations, including (but not limited to) payroll, accounts payable, accrued expenses, debt, fixed assets, and leases, ensuring proper accounting under GAAP. • Review monthly financial statements at the department and location level; prepare and analyze variances of actual versus budgeted expenses and current versus prior month results. Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and supporting schedules for internal management review. Support system integration efforts, including the GL system, AP automation tools, financial planning modules, and banking applications.
Requirements:
10 years work experience in general ledger accounting Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Strong knowledge of GAAP Strong Excel and Data Analysis Skills must be willing to work in-office healthcare experience preferred
