Months Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant will play a vital role in supporting the finance team's mission to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to facilitate the decision-making of key internal and external stakeholders.
Background & Context:
This role supports The Organization's finance team in a professional office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct month-end close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
  • Support the quarterly reviews and year-end audit with the independent auditors.
  • Perform research and analytical review on significant transactions.
  • Has a strong ability and interest to assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information and provide guidance on accounting-related matters.
  • Ad-hoc accounting related projects.
Qualification & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; master's in accounting/CPA preferred
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills
  • Positive and helpful attitude, along with commitment to process improvements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in accounting roles
  • Proficiency in large accounting software (SAP or similar ERP experience) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands (If Applicable): This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with individuals internal and external to the organization. The employee frequently is required to move about the facility and may be required to lift up to 15 lbs. by themselves. Additional Information (If Applicable):

This is a full-time position with typical business hours. It may reasonably require additional hours during the week and weekend; specific requirements will be determined with Manager.
