We are a small, relationship-focused CPA firm that provides personalized accounting, tax, and advisory services to individuals and small businesses. Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to support day-to-day accounting, tax preparation, and client service activities. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a small firm setting where responsibilities can be varied and hands-on.
Key Responsibilities:
Individual and business tax return preparation (1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065, 1041) Prepare and review financial statements for business clients using QuickBooks Communicate with clients regarding documents, deadlines, and financial questions Support with research, analysis, and special projects Maintain organized client files and ensure data accuracy Extensive tax planning for individuals and business owners. Assist in workflow improvement within the firm's processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (CPA or CPA-track preferred) 2- 8 years of relevant accounting or public accounting experience Strong understanding of basic tax concepts Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and Tax software Excellent attention to detail and organization Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
