Workiva Full Job Description Role Details Must-Have Qualifications:
1-2 years of accounting experience Financial statement preparation Attention to detail, ability to flip between tasks
Technical Skills:
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) Journal entry preparation and financial close processes (month/quarter/year-end) Account reconciliations and variance analysis Financial statement preparation (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, equity) Regulatory reporting (FERC, government filings) GAAP application and technical accounting research/documentation Internal controls compliance, testing, and documentation Financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting processes ERP and financial systems usage (Oracle, Workiva, or similar)
Preferred Experience:
Experience with Oracle, Workiva, or similar ERP/reporting tools Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Experience with consolidations and intercompany accounting Familiarity with FERC regulatory accounting and reporting Experience preparing financial statements and disclosures (including footnotes/MD&A) CPA certification
Key Responsibilities:
Perform footing and cross-footing of financial statements Tie prepared footnotes back to supporting documentation Demonstrate a foundational understanding of debits, credits, and trial balances Prepare simple joint venture (JV) income statements and balance sheets
