Loveland, Colorado Senior Staff Accountant
A premier northern Colorado corporate accounting team is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their organization. This position is intended for an individual who can step into a fast-paced close environment, support multiple operating locations, and help maintain strong accounting processes across field offices.
The role will allow this individual to take ownership of a group of operational entities and directly support the accounting activities tied to those locations. This person will be responsible for full-cycle ledger accounting, monthly close support, reconciliations, and producing core financial outputs such as P&L statements and balance sheets for each assigned entity.
You'll work closely with accounting leadership and partner with teams across the locations, including financial point people and operational contacts. The position involves managing accounting activity across multiple ledgers and entities, while building strong working relationships with colleagues outside of finance.
This person will help support established close and budgeting processes, contribute to reporting for operations, and strengthen communication between accounting and the field teams they support.
This would offer a base salary of $80-90k, with flexibility for more senior-level candidates who are especially well aligned to the role.
This is a 100% in-office position in Loveland.
Responsibilities Manage accounting responsibilities for assigned field offices, including work across multiple ledgers and operating entities.
Support the monthly close process in a fast-paced environment, including high-volume transaction review and timely completion of recurring accounting tasks.
Perform general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and review of transactions that may span separate ledgers or involve multiple entries.
Prepare and distribute core financial reporting for assigned field offices, including P&L statements and balance sheets.
Review items such as AP invoices and other accounting inputs tied to operations.
Partner with multi-entity personnel, department managers, and on-site contacts to ensure accurate financial information flow and effective day-to-day communication.
Contribute to the budgeting process and help support training, communication, and professional development with non-accounting stakeholders in the field. Requirements
1-3 years experience with: Accounting or finance experience supporting close, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
Experience working across multiple entities, ledgers, or operating locations
Exposure to full-cycle ledger accounting and basic financial reporting
Ability to stay highly organized and manage a high volume of recurring transactions during close
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with operational teams outside of accounting
Willingness to travel to field offices as needed and build relationships with remote teams
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA progress is nice to have, preference for those coming from public accounting
