Job Description

Senior Property Accountant Douglas County , CO Contract Accounting $40/HR to $50/HR 05/05/2026 Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Interim Senior Property Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $40.00 to $50.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage monthly close activities across multiple properties and entities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting packages. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including fixed assets, prepaid items, accruals, and intercompany activity. Support accounts payable and receivable processes by reviewing invoices, processing payments, and monitoring receivable balances. Prepare financial reports and variance analyses to assist property and asset management with decision making. Assist with project accounting, lender reporting, and audit support while coordinating with internal teams and external parties.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. At least 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including property or real estate accounting exposure. A strong understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements. Previous experience working with enterprise accounting systems, particularly within property management environments. Ability to work on site during the initial engagement period and meet close deadlines.
Qualifications:
Proficiency with property accounting systems and familiarity with tools used for financial reporting and analysis. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple entities and complex reconciliations. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and quickly adapt to a new environment. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners. Previous experience supporting audits, project accounting, and multi entity structures.
