This is a temp-to-hire assignment. Must have Fund / Grant Accounting experience
Fund & Cash Management:
Maintain detailed oversight of restricted, unrestricted, and board-designated funds, ensuring proper classification, tracking, and reporting. Monitor daily cash activity, perform regular reviews of transactions, and reconcile cash positions to validate accuracy, support financial transparency, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Reconciliations:
Execute comprehensive monthly balance sheet and cash reconciliations by comparing general ledger balances to supporting documentation. Identify discrepancies, conduct root-cause analysis on variances, and implement timely resolutions while maintaining thorough documentation to support audit readiness and financial integrity.
Accounting Operations:
Contribute to core accounting functions including accounts payable processing, preparation and posting of journal entries, and support of the month-end and year-end close processes. Assist in producing accurate financial reports and ensure adherence to established internal controls, accounting standards, and best practices.
Financial Accuracy & Controls:
Strengthen internal control processes by validating transaction accuracy, supporting audit activities, and ensuring consistent application of accounting procedures. Collaborate across teams to improve workflows, enhance data reliability, and maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory financial requirements.
