Per Year Description:
This role involves overseeing financial reporting, analysis, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance in a nonprofit setting. Located in Bridgeport, CT, this full-time position requires experience in financial systems and accounting standards. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with no weekend work.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 1 year of progressive accounting experience, preferably in nonprofit healthcare. Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles. Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, grants, and reimbursement processes. Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software and financial systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
Experience in behavioral health or nonprofit healthcare organizations preferred. CPA preferred but not required. Familiarity with electronic health record and billing systems. Experience supporting audits and compliance reviews. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
