Job Description Summary Join a mission driven healthcare and human services organization where you will play a key role in revenue recognition, regulatory reporting, financial analysis, and reimbursement oversight across complex funding streams. This role is ideal for a detail driven accounting professional who thrives in fast paced healthcare or nonprofit environments and enjoys improving financial accuracy, compliance, and operational performance. What You'll Do Manage monthly revenue recognition and reconciliation processes. Analyze Medicaid, Medicare, grant, insurance, and contract revenue activity. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and month end close schedules. Reconcile billing systems to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies. Monitor deferred revenue, accruals, contractual adjustments, and allowances. Prepare regulatory, grant, and funder reporting submissions. Support audits, cost reports, compliance reviews, and financial reporting. Track receivables, denials, cash collections, and aging trends. Partner with operational and revenue cycle teams to resolve reporting issues. Support process improvements, internal controls, and accounting workflow optimization. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and Board reporting support. What You'll Need 5 plus years of progressive accounting experience. Strong experience with revenue recognition, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, grants, or third party reimbursement environments. Experience preparing regulatory, funder, or reimbursement reporting. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition standards. Advanced Excel and financial systems experience required. Experience supporting audits and compliance reviews. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills. What Would Be a Plus CPA certification. Behavioral health, nonprofit healthcare, or human services industry experience. Experience with EHR or healthcare billing systems.
