Job Description

Job Description A growing manufacturing company in Canton, MI is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its finance team. This role will support plant operations by providing financial analysis, cost accounting expertise, and business insights that drive operational performance and profitability.
Responsibilities:
Manage standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements Prepare financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and month-end close activities Partner with plant leadership to provide financial guidance and operational support Assist with budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment Experience providing financial leadership and business partnership within a manufacturing plant Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory, and manufacturing financial reporting Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial controls, and reporting requirements If you're looking to make an impact in a collaborative manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
