Job Description
Job Overview Client is seeking an articulate and motivated individual to join the Firm's Corporate Finance team in Darien, CT for a full-time basis. The position will be predominantly focused on maintaining our General Ledger and managing the expense reporting process for the Firm. The position requires an ability to meet critical deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor and juggling competing priorities. The Senior Accountant must work well independently with limited supervision. Company is seeking a self-starter possessing strong work ethic, ability to question the status quo, and an eagerness to learn. Opportunities for advancement exist as the successful candidate will be encouraged to pursue broader responsibilities within Finance as time goes on. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Oversee the daily recording of cash and other bank activity
Oversee the Accounts Payable Accountant and the invoice payment process for all Corporate entities
Allocate expenses incurred by the Manager on behalf of its Funds in accordance with governing documents and
U.S. GAAP
Manage the Corporate expense reporting process within Concur for all employees in accordance with our Compliance Manual
Answer questions from employees regarding the application of expense allocation policy and within Concur
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules
Investigate and correct errors or inconsistencies in the financial statements
Answer accounting and financial inquiries by researching and interpreting data
Prepare journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations to meet quarter-end close deadlines
Assist the Controller in preparing the debt compliance packages that are due to Lender
Calculate the quarterly use tax payment due
Prepare documentation and support for external auditors for year-end audits Requirements Minimum requirements for the Senior Accountant position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
Familiarity with online banking platforms and ability to enter wire payments independently
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills with an impeccable attention to detail
Ability to work with and for a variety of colleagues with demonstrated success working in a team environment
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivots, complex formulas, vlookups, etc.) In addition to the above-mentioned requirements, the following are highly desired:
