USA Property Accountant Location:
Manchester, CT / Fully Onsite We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to join a growing team supporting a multi-state residential property portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys owning the full accounting cycle. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle property accounting for a portfolio of residential properties across multiple states Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile bank accounts, and maintain balance sheet reconciliations Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness Prepare and analyze financial statements, including variance (flux) analysis and supporting schedules Calculate and record depreciation and other recurring accounting entries Perform quarterly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Collaborate with external auditors by preparing documentation and supporting audit requests Maintain organized and accurate financial records in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies What We're Looking For Prior full-cycle accounting experience within property management Strong experience with month-end close in a multi-entity environment Working knowledge of Yardi is a plus, or experience with similar ERP systems Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
