Job Description

Senior Accountant - Real Estate Investment FirmWe are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a growing real estate investment organization in Stamford, Connecticut. In this role, you will support core accounting operations for a portfolio of properties while helping deliver timely, accurate financial reporting to leadership. This opportunity offers close collaboration with finance and operational teams in a fast-paced environment where strong analytical skills and attention to detail are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage month-end activities, including posting journal entries, updating the general ledger, and completing closing tasks on schedule.
  • Prepare financial reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting periods and review results for accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform account and bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of performance against expectations.
  • Evaluate property-level operating results, cash activity, and financial trends to support business decisions.
  • Assist with annual audits by organizing supporting documentation and coordinating responses for external auditors.
  • Help maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company financial policies.
