Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will support the accounting department by performing essential bookkeeping, data entry, and account reconciliation tasks. You will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and contributing to the smooth operation of our financial processes. Responsibilities Perform daily data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions using accounting software such as Sage Assist in preparing journal entries and recording financial transactions accurately Conduct account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and ensure proper documentation of discrepancies Support month-end and year-end closing processes by compiling relevant financial data Help with payroll management tasks using systems like ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, including processing timekeeping data through Kronos or similar tools Maintain organized records of financial documents, invoices, receipts, and supporting schedules Assist with audit preparations by providing necessary documentation and explanations of account activity Requirements Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; relevant coursework or experience will be considered Basic understanding of accounting principles such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial concepts Experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms is highly desirable Familiarity with payroll systems like ADP or Paychex and time management tools such as Kronos is a plus Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry skills (10 key typing proficiency) Ability to analyze accounts and perform account reconciliation accurately Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices is advantageous Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team Join us as a Junior Accountant and grow your career in a vibrant environment that values your contributions!
