ACCOUNTANT / TAXPREPARER
to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in accounting and tax preparation, ensuring accurate financial reporting and tax compliance. Your energetic approach and strong technical skills will help drive our mission to deliver exceptional client service and support clients' growth. Responsibilities Conduct thorough financial statement preparation, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Perform account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy across all financial records. Analyze financial data to interpret trends, support budgeting efforts, and provide insightful reports for management decision-making. Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and estate tax returns with precision and attention to detail. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and accounting standards to ensure compliance and optimize client benefits. Experience Recent graduates considered. Experience in public accounting preferred. Demonstrated expertise in financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, asset management, and financial analysis. Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms is essential. Solid understanding of GAAP standards and regulatory reporting requirements related to securities law or non-profit accounting is preferred. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial reports and perform account analysis effectively. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
