Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant II to assist our client's payroll team for approximately 1-3 months. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent reconciliation skills, and experience working with payroll-related accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll accurately and timely Reconcile payroll records and resolve discrepancies Record payroll transactions and related journal entries/adjustments Reconcile payroll-related invoices and accounts, including health insurance, pension, and retiree service bills Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end accounting activities
Qualifications:
Experience in payroll processing and accounting Strong account reconciliation skills Proficiency with accounting and payroll systems Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred This position offers a unique opportunity to expand your accounting knowledge and develop experience in government payroll and financial administration.
Pay:
$23.96 per hour
