JOB REQUIREMENTS

for State Accountant IV Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: Three years' experience in analyzing financial data to provide guidance and consultation to customers, managers, or others. Three years' experience in compiling, analyzing, and reporting on financial data to ensure effective and efficient accounting of funds or to make projections for financial planning. Two years' experience in making recommendations for changes or improvements to financial processes, procedures, forms, or automated financial information systems. Two years' experience in ensuring compliance with accounting or payroll laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures. Six months' experience in narrative report writing.
