Placers Professional is seeking an experienced, proactive Senior Corporate Accounting Professional to join our prestigious client in an onsite position situated in Newark, DE. Key Responsibilities Lead daily accounting operations and month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes , ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls Manage general ledger activity , including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and revenue recognition Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, aging reports, and management reports Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements ; support audits and coordinate with the external CPA firm Process and review payroll and assist with employee benefits administration Monitor revenue and expense activity to ensure proper recording and identify discrepancies Investigate and resolve financial variances and irregularities Support tax filings and compliance requirements as needed Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational needs , including vendor management and inventory oversight Contribute to process improvements and maintain efficient, scalable accounting practices Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of experience with accounting software and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Prior experience in real estate, construction, or development accounting is a plus What You Bring Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to analyze information and solve problems effectively Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information Equal Employment Opportunity Placers will recruit, hire, train, and promote individuals, as well as administer any and all personnel actions, without regard to race, religion, creed or color, national origin, ancestry, mental and/or physical disability, gender, age, marital status, sexual orientation, or other characteristics protected by law.
