Job Description:
Placers Professional is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accounting Professional to join our top-rated dynamic client that is adding to their team. The on-site position is located in Newark, De and is focused in real estate and community development. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization by supporting day-to-day accounting operations and contributing to timely, accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post daily journal entries while maintaining accurate and organized financial records Compile, analyze, and reconcile financial data to support monthly and annual financial statements Ensure compliance with established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Prepare and distribute financial and management reports Manage deadlines to ensure the timely completion of all financial reporting requirements Support year-end close processes and collaborate with the external CPA firm Process payroll, review payroll reports, and assist with employee benefits administration Investigate and resolve discrepancies, variances, and irregularities Assist with tax-related requirements and filings as needed Monitor and analyze revenue and expense activity to ensure proper recording Contribute to process improvements and perform additional duties as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience with accounting software and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Prior experience in real estate, construction, or development accounting is a plus What You Bring Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to analyze information and solve problems effectively Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information Equal Employment Opportunity Placers will recruit, hire, train, and promote individuals, as well as administer any and all personnel actions, without regard to race, religion, creed or color, national origin, ancestry, mental and/or physical disability, gender, age, marital status, sexual orientation, or other characteristics protected by law.
