Job Description

Staff Accountant Salary:
$75,000 – $85,000
Location:
Orlando, FL Overview of the Opportunity We are working with a rapidly expanding, privately held company in the construction and project-driven space to identify a Staff Accountant. This is a newly added position created to support growth, offering the opportunity to work in a high-volume environment with a strong focus on construction accounting and lien waiver management.   • Oversee Accounts Payable functions including invoice coding, processing, and vendor communication
  • Manage lien waivers, subcontractor compliance, and related documentation as a primary responsibility
  • Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end close
  • Research discrepancies and support internal control processes
  • Assist with job costing and construction-related accounting activities
  • Partner with leadership to improve workflows and support audit readiness
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements as the business grows Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within construction or project-based environments
  • Hands-on experience with lien waivers and subcontractor payment processes required
  • Strong understanding of reconciliations and general accounting practices
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting Work Environment
