Job Description:
A leading alternative investment firm is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join its growing finance team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with fund leadership, investment professionals, third-party administrators, and auditors while supporting a portfolio of hedge funds and managed accounts. Responsibilitie Maintain and review accounting records for hedge funds and managed accounts Perform and oversee reconciliations between trading and portfolio accounting systems, investigating and resolving discrepancies Review NAV packages prepared by third-party administrators and analyze key drivers of fund performance Partner with investment, operations, and finance teams on accounting, valuation, and reporting matters Assist with audits, financial reporting, and ongoing fund accounting processes Identify opportunities to enhance controls, reporting, and operational efficiencies Support and mentor junior team members as needed Qualification Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Strong experience in hedge fund accounting, fund administration, public accounting, or alternative investments Working knowledge of Advent Geneva required Experience with hedge fund structures, NAV calculations, and third-party administrators Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities Excellent attention to detail and communication skills Experience with derivatives, fixed income products, and alternative investment strategies Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or other reporting and analytics tools Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
