Job DescriptionJob Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role is ideal for a finance professional with 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience who is comfortable managing people, processes, and deadlines. The Accounting Manager will collaborate closely with senior leadership and play a key role in maintaining compliance, improving processes, and supporting business decision- making.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion Supervise, mentor, and develop staff; assign work and review performance Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party professionals Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities in partnership with leadership Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and system efficiency Assist with implementation and optimization of accounting systems and internal controls Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required) 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management experience Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting principles Experience with month-end close, financial statements, and account reconciliations Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAGE) Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally Preferred Qualifications CPA or CMA certification Experience improving or automating accounting processes Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Healthcare, dental, vision, 401K (w/ match), PTO Responsibilities:
Manage the full month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and timely reporting to the management team Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency of all financial data Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly financial reports, including sales tax filings Conduct financial analysis and assist with budget-related planning and forecasting Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed, serving as a collaborative resource across the organization Translate financial data, reports, and processes into clear, accessible language for team members and leadership who do not have an accounting or finance background - including informal coaching and guidance as situations arise We arre an equal opportunity employer.
