Position Overview Join our team as a Junior Accountant and play a key role in supporting the financial health and operational success of the firm. This position offers hands-on exposure to core accounting functions and the opportunity to strengthen your accounting skills in a structured, professional environment. You will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting compliance with applicable accounting standards. Responsibilities:
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for: Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections Reviewing, processing, and maintaining accurate vendor invoices and payment records Performing account reconciliations, including bank and general ledger reconciliations Recording journal entries and supporting accrual-based accounting activities Assisting with month-end and year-end close procedures Maintaining accurate and organized financial records in accordance with GAAP Reviewing financial data to identify discrepancies or anomalies Assisting with internal reviews, audits, and documentation as needed Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and basic financial analysis activities Preparing internal financial reports to support management decision-making Utilizing accounting and firm management software to record transactions accurately Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (accounting emphasis preferred) 1-3 years of accounting experience, including internships or entry-level roles Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting principles Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms Strong understanding of debits and credits, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent organizational and time management abilities Ability to work collaboratively while demonstrating initiative and professionalism Willingness to learn, accept mentorship, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities Zoecklein Law, P.A. participates in the federal E-Verify program. Pay:
$45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
