Job DescriptionJob Description Is your daily commute to Tampa getting expensive? If you live in the Brandon/Valrico area and would like to work in a stress free CPA office this is the perfect position for you! Overview A CPA firm in Brandon/Valrico, FL has an immediate opening for a Tax Accountant/Bookkeeper to work directly with the CPA and our small office of 5 professionals to deliver quality financials to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to learn, advance and work across diverse financial functions, including personal and corporate tax preparation, accounting, and bookkeeping. Duties Prepare and file corporate and personal tax returns. Work with clients on tax planning, preparation, and filing. Handle monthly bookkeeping and accounting including financial statements for corporate clients. Conduct account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting and ensure data accuracy. Manage payroll and sales tax for corporate clients. Requirements 5+ years of demonstrated tax experience including familiarity with tax laws, tax software tools (Drake a plus!)
