Job Description:
We are partnering with a CPA firm in Clearwater, FL that is seeking an Accounting Associate / Paraprofessional to join their team on a direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to grow within a collaborative, client-focused environment. This role is available immediately and will support both accounting and tax-related functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare individual and business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, etc.) Assist with tax planning and compliance activities Support general accounting functions including journal entries and reconciliations Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules Maintain accurate client records and documentation Work closely with senior accountants and CPAs on client engagements Assist during tax season with high-volume workload
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred 2+ years of accounting or public accounting experience Hands-on experience preparing tax returns is required Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax concepts Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and/or tax software High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
