This role will work closely with the Controller to manage month-end close, accounts receivable, accounts payable, job costing, and acquisition integration activities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, enjoys improving processes, and can balance day-to-day accounting responsibilities with strategic support as the company continues to grow organically and through acquisitions. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
  • Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and financial reporting
  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
  • Assist with job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting for construction projects
  • Support integration of acquired companies
  • Prepare schedules and documentation for external auditors, tax preparers, and banks as needed Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within construction, contracting, or project-based industries
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
  • Experience with job costing, WIP schedules, and percentage-of-completion accounting preferred
  • Experience in construction ERP systems such as Acumatica, Sage, NetSuite or similar
  • Experience with ERP integrations, Ramp preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience supporting acquisitions or multi-entity accounting environments Preferred Attributes
