Our services include accounting support for our clients, business and individual tax preparation and planning, and strategic financial consulting. What Makes Our Firm Different Our team consists of less than 20 professionals, allowing us to recognize and reward high performers. Staff work directly with firm shareholders and managers. You will build meaningful relationships with business owners and make a direct impact on their success. Tax season expectations average approximately 55 hours per week — significantly less than many public accounting firms. Outside of tax season, a typical workweek is 40 hours. Reduced summer hours are often offered, including Friday afternoons off. Flexible scheduling and understanding around family, school, and personal commitments. Casual office environment — shorts are welcome most days. Core office hours are 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM with scheduling flexibility. Minimal travel required. Most client interactions occur via phone, email, and video conferencing. We value culture and teamwork, with firm outings and social events throughout the year. Position Overview Lacher McDonald & Co., CPAs is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant with 3+ years of public accounting experience to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to build advanced accounting and tax expertise while working closely with managers and partners to support our client base. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client-focused, and motivated to help businesses grow through accurate financial reporting and strategic financial insight. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial statements Prepare business and individual tax returns Assist clients with accounting and financial management questions Work directly with managers and partners on client engagements Maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication Support clients with bookkeeping and financial reporting needs Ensure accuracy, organization, and timely completion of projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting required CPA license or CPA candidate preferred Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience Strong tax and accounting knowledge Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and analytical abilities Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively

Compensation & Benefits Salary Range :

$70,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience +
