We are known for our technical excellence and personalized service, offering tailored accounting, tax, assurance, and advisory solutions to a diverse range of clients. Our team has over 100 years of combined experience and provides key services including tax planning, individual and business tax preparation, and accounting support for various sectors. Role Description We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys public accounting, wants meaningful client exposure, and is looking for a stable firm where they can grow professionally without getting lost in a large-firm environment. The ideal candidate is organized, technically strong, comfortable working with clients, and ab le to prepare individual and business tax returns with accuracy and professionalism. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day tasks, including tax planning, tax compliance, tax preparation, and staying updated on tax law. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA license or CPA candidacy is preferred. Minimum 5-7 years of public accounting experience in Tax. Proficient with CCH ProSystem Tax preferred, but not required. Experience preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns. Proficiency with Quickbooks, Excel and Microsoft Office. Understanding of relevant tax legislation and tax planning is preferred. International tax experience is a plus, but not required. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills and client management abilities. Spanish language skills are a plus. Ability to work on-site in Coral Gables, FL. Key Responsibilities Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns. Assist with tax planning and tax compliance for individuals and businesses. Work directly with clients to gather documents, resolve questions, and provide support. Prepare and review supporting schedules, workpapers, and related tax documentation. Assist partners and senior team members with complex tax matters. Monitor adherence to evolving tax and accounting regulations. Conduct initial and advanced reviews of intricate tax filings to verify accuracy and completeness. Perform detailed reviews of engagement files, work papers, and related documentation for technical accuracy. Help manage deadlines and ensure client work is completed accurately and timely. Use tax, accounting, and document-management tools to support efficient client service. Maintain awareness of current tax rules and apply them to assigned client work. Support accounting and bookkeeping-related projects when needed. Contribute to a professional, respectful, and team-oriented office environment.
Compensation & Benefits Compensation:
$115,000-$135,000 annually, based on experience, CPA status, technical background, and client-management ability.
